Q.: Can you help me build a website?

Short Answer: It depends. I can help a little.

Long Answer: Writing a website is fun, and it's a great hobby...
but I can only give you general steps as to how to do it, because each host is a little different. Since you have already chosen yours, these are general steps.

Most of it is good planning.

1. Find a TRIAL site host first, if you can. You need to see if you can follow their instructions, and how good their help is.
2. Look for these words on the Host's site. "HELP, LEARN, Tutorials, Guides" These are usually videos. DO NOT start your site until you've practiced with their tutorials for a while. If those links are not obvious, choose a different host!
3. When you purchase the hosting plan, go with the cheapest, because you can always upgrade at any time.
4. Registering your "domain". This is the name (address) of your website, that people have to type in when they're looking for you. Put this off as long as possible, because it costs to change it, and rarely is someone satisfied with the one they thought of first. Choose it carefully.. and be sure you have thought of a couple of alternates. This you pay for yearly, usually. It's not expensive, or it's included in your hosting plan.
5. Look at the free templates offered. There's a lot of sophiticated work in designing a website to look good.. and its best to have it already done.
6. OK, you think you're ready to start. When practising with the trial, you should have learned how to use their SiteBuilder tool, whatever it is called. You must follow these instructions exactly.
7. You're eager to use your pictures. Learn your host's proper uploading procedure or you'll have trouble. Uploading a graphic is not simple, but basicaly, it is telling your computer which image you want to use and where it is located on your computer. The uploading process is a transfer of that data (similar to sending an email) to the server computer of your host, to reside at your designated "domain" spot.
8. When you have a problem, there are should be several places to go for help: Help, FAQ, the Forum or Community and last, Customer Service.

Go Daddy seems to be an excellent service.. and although it's complicated to get started, as soon as you "get it", you'll have a lot of fun.

P.S. If all this seems like too much work, there are a lot of easy ways to put a simple site up on Yahoo, Google, etc.
