Fun!

What do you consider Fun? There are as many ways to have fun with a computer as there are people. Everyone likes something different.

There are competitive card games, like Solitaire, or Hearts; Simulation games like Pool, or Bowling; Arcade games and Casino games. So many that you'll never explore them all.

There are Puzzles: Crosswords, Word Search, and many others, even Mystery games.

You can learn about new Hobbies, and talk to others who share your hobby, whether it is cooking, needlework, RV-ing or radio-controlled planes.

It's fun to Chat with people all over the world. There are sites for finding Pen Pals, and of course, everyone has heard about "Online Dating". (more on that , later!) If you enjoy reading, you will enjoy it even more with specialized Book Club discussions.

?? How do you talk to people on the Internet? There are Chat rooms, IM (Instant Messaging) and even SKype for direct face to face... but what if you don't want to be involved directly?
This is when a BLOG with comments is the most interesting. You can read what everyone else is saying.. but you don't have to join in until you're ready. That's called "lurking"... and it's just as much fun as it sounds!

If you enjoy decorating, you may never get off the computer decorating sites with their examples and ideas. Do-it-yourself sites can teach you all the things you want to know how to do, and even show you videos, step by step. I may even learn how to cook like Julia Child!

For photographers, or those who want to be, the Internet brings you how-to, examples of the best and the chance to compare yours. Read about the basics at Editing Digital Photos and look under the More button for some new sites.

All of this is available to you, but you need to know how to find it, don't you?
Searching the Internet for sites can be overwhelming, but the Search Engines try to make as easy as possible for you.

Because there is SO MUCH out there, there are a few things to remember in order to find what you want:

• Think of very specific words to put in the Search Box. Your objective is to narrow down the possibilities.
• If you get NO results, then you need to be more general.
• Try to spell as correctly as you can, but you will find the search engines will try to guess what you mean.

Maybe now you can understand about "Computer Addiction"... You might even BE one already!
